A little bit of my creative process.
- I created the 2D character designs (photoshop)
- I sculpted the 3D models in ZBrush.
- I exported it to Maya, within Maya I created a lighting set, including a blue dome to simulate the ambient light from the sky, main lighting from the sun (to highlight the silhouette), and some additional lights to simulate the reflection of light ( of the sun) on the ground reaching the characters.
- I rendered a scene in V-Ray with physically 100% correct lighting to use as a reference in 2D painting.
- Finally, using a @huiontablet (HUION) digital display, and a textured brush, modified and personalized by me, I made the stylized 2D painting in Photoshop.
